3 5 LUCKY HONEY (CJ013) Z Purton XB1 Jumped only fairly but was niggled forward to take the lead. Took a length's advantage into the home straight and kept on fairly. Headed final 100 M and finished with a minor placing.
4 10 MY GOAL (CJ131) M W Leung -- Taken back from wide draw and trailed field. Made a ground saving trip around the turn and had to switch out at 150 M. Closed the race off strongly.
5 9 HAPPEE GIFT (CH313) K T Yeung XB/B1/TT Jumped fairly and gradually made up ground in the back straight. 2-wide and a length off the lead at 600 M. Remained on same pace in the straight.
6 12 HAPPY SUNDAY (CE169) Y T Cheng V/TT Best out from widest draw but didn't have enough speed to cross to the lead. Raced 3-wide and within 2Ls of the lead. Kept pace in the early part of the straight but faded final 200 M.
7 7 TRAVEL CONSULTANT (CG266) B Prebble SR Raced near the rails at midfield. Swung out turning for home and only kept same pace in the straight.
8 4 FLORAL IMAGE (CK027) K L Chui TT1 Lacked early speed and was taken back across runners. Raced in rear section until straightening. Ran on without threatening.
9 3 SPEED FIGHTER (CD355) C K Tong B Gradually slipped back to race in a rearward position. Lacked the needed rally in the straight.
10 6 MESOHAPPY (CJ317) M Du Plessis -- Bounded in air and lost ground at the start. 2-wide and no better than midfield. Hung badly at 600 M and was near last turning for home. Never quickened.
11 11 OPTIC KING (CE139) H W Lai SR/CP Jumped well but lacked the needed speed to keep pace with leaders. Raced 3-wide at midfield. Hampered and carried wider when making turn at 600 M and lost all chances. (Epiglottic entrapment.)
