6 8 SEA TREASURE (CD335) Y T Cheng B/TT2 Began awkwardly, unsuited by slow pace and was difficult to settle in early stages, raced towards the rear in backstraight, 5-6Ls to make up as they turned, had to be shifted wide for a run, made solid progress inside 200 M.
7 11 MASTER DREAMER (CE293) K L Chui B Jumped well, prominent early on but slowly drifted back to midfield, had a fair trip throughout, lacked room early in straight, made some headway when cleared 200 M out but never threatened.
8 12 RELY ON ME (CE068) C K Tong B/TT Away with them, pressed on to lead on rails at a slow tempo until taken over at 1100 M, had a smooth run trailing leader, close enough on turning but unable to quicken up in straight, faded last 100 M.
9 4 KINGSGATE GLORY (CH020) K T Yeung B/TT Bounced well, took a midfield position 2-wide 4Ls back, improved on turning, found no extra under pressure in straight, only passed beaten runners.
10 1 INDUSTRIAL EXPRESS (CH103) F Coetzee -- Jumped fairly, unsettled in the rear and was allowed to stride forward, took over the running from 1100 M, struggled on straightening, weakened inside 200 M.
11 3 PRIME TARGET (CH242) B Prebble -- Taken back from a wide barrier, didn't settle due to slow tempo, moved forward from 1200 M to race on the back of the pace, unable to finish the race off as early hard run took toll.
