2 8 EGYPTIAN RA (CE002) E Saint-Martin TT Began well, took a prominent position on back of leader, raced keenly throughout, still in between runners on bend, took inside runs turning and closed nicely when clear but proved no match for winner.
3 11 JOY AND FUN (CH014) W M Lai CP- Away nicely, assumed ideal spot 1 out 1 back, had fair run when speed slackened, in between horses turning, clear passing 400 M and challenged strongly but couldn't sprint with first two inside final furlong.
4 10 JACKPOT DELIGHT (CJ101) B Doyle B Out on line, took a midfield spot on rails 3Ls or so from pace, no excuses in run, still in traffic on turning, into clear at 300 M, didn't dash but worked to line nicely.
5 12 HAWKES BAY (CG064) B Prebble XB Relatively well away, pressed forward but was caught wide without cover 2Ls back, aided by steady pace to bend, challenged soon after turning and in mix to 200 M before run ended.
6 1 GOOD BA BA (CE201) O Doleuze TT Standard jump and allowed to drift back from an awkward draw, raced 3 wide towards rear 6Ls back, forced 4 wide on circle, made steady headway without looking likely in straight.
7 5 FELLOWSHIP (CG292) D Whyte TT Standard jump, drifted back to race in 2nd half of field, raced keenly when pace steadied, 3 wide with cover on circle held up passing 200 M, closed off reasonably in circumstances to be nearest on line.
8 13 GOLD STRIKER (CD365) K L Chui -- First to hit ground, went on to take up running easily, ran race to suit in front, increased speed at 400 M, kept on to 250 M before run ended and simply battled away late.
9 4 BULLISH LUCK (CC155) G Mosse B/XB Away OK, taken back to race 4 wide without cover behind midfield, did plenty of work in run, improved to be 4Ls down turning, held ground evenly in run home without looking likely.
10 3 FLORAL PEGASUS (CG011) Y T Cheng TT Began smartly, pushed forward to race outside leader, had fair run once pace steadied, 1/2L down on turning, still in mix at 300 M but couldn't lift a gear after that and faded late.
11 6 JOYFUL WINNER (CE045) M Du Plessis TT Standard jump, ended up 5Ls or so away on rails, had a soft run but not aided by pace, saved ground on bend, made limited progress along inside in home stretch.
12 9 EXCELLENT BOY (CE238) C K Tong P No early pace, raced in rearward division 5Ls off speed, back between horses to bend, made no real progress, just held ground in straight.
13 7 VIVA MACAU (CH110) Z Purton CP/TT Began fairly, positioned nicely in midfield 4Ls off bend, not used in mid-section, not aided by steady pace, couldn't sprint when asked, checked when tiring in straight.
