2 4 EXPRESS WIN (CJ042) C K Tong TT Broke well to contest early lead. Briefly settled for one-out-one-back position around stable bend. Soon took up running 1000 M out and held 1L advantage until swamped over 150 M out.
3 3 TOP HONOR (CE183) G Mosse CP- Settled one-off in midfield. Looked beaten when coming under strong pressure early in straight. However, fought on doggedly to reach distant 3rd late.
4 5 GRAND STORE (CH087) M L Yeung -- Soon driven to better than midfield position after beginning from wide barrier. Travelled in 5th about 3Ls off the pace most of way down far side. Similar turning in but ran home one-paced.
5 10 VENI VEDI VICI (CJ081) E Saint-Martin TT Raced 3-wide without cover in midfield. Shuffled back to last few around home bend and widest turning for home. Made steady headway down centre of straight past beaten horses.
6 11 KING PRAWN SUPREME (CJ076) W M Lai B Jumped well to hold rails run. Soon tucked in behind pace but went one off the rails to avoid heels turning into far side. Lost 3rd coming out of back straight. Fought on nicely after home turn but unable to sustain effort 200 M.
7 14 SIR GALAHAD (CG272) K C Leung -- Soon settled near rails in rear of midfield. Did not find much room over 200 M out. Fought on well late.
8 12 ROCKET WIN (CE249) W C Marwing P/XB Settled in rear. Made good ground inside final 200 M down centre of straight to be nearest at finish.
9 1 NORMAN INVADER (CJ231) H W Lai TT Not far off in 4th with rails run. Gained a 2L 3rd round home bend. Soon weakened after straightening.
10 9 FULL PACK (CJ312) D Whyte -- Raced wide in rear of midfield after beginning from poor draw. Kept on same pace in straight.
11 2 SOUNDS BEST (CE255) D Beadman TT Always well behind. Failed to make any impression in straight.
12 7 GOODY (CD239) O Doleuze -- Settled on rails in forward of midfield. Gave ground steadily after straightening.
13 8 CLEAN SWEEP (CD323) B Prebble B Missed the break badly losing considerable ground. Joined the tail of the field turning into far side, improving to rear of midfield home bend. Nearest when midfield on rails turning for home. Soon weakened.
14 6 SUMMERVILLE POWER (CD398) K T Yeung CP Stumbled at start. Soon travelled at the back. Tailed-off from far side. (Lame next day.) (Questioned for unacceptable performance.)
