2 2 SUNNY POWER (CG203) E Saint-Martin -- Awkwardly away, ended up in rear division 10Ls off speed, advantaged by solid tempo throughout, still well back making bend, steadied when improving at 350 M, produced strong finish final furlong to just miss.
3 6 GREEN BIRDIE (CH245) O Doleuze -- Tardy into stride, assumed usual spot well back amongst last few, 8Ls off strong pace, saved ground on rails throughout, made run on turning, closed off strongly down middle to go under in 3 way go.
4 3 ABLE ONE (CG108) Z Purton -- Well enough away, took a spot 5Ls away behind speed in 2 wide line, had a fair trip throughout, tracked eventual winner on turning, closed evenly but run ended inside 100 M.
5 1 ARMADA (CE246) D Whyte -- Allowed to drift back and settle a clear last, suited by solid tempo racing 12Ls off speed, set huge task when last on turning, made remarkable progress final 300 M to be nearest on line.
6 5 SCINTILLATION (CC228) H W Lai XB/H Amongst first few to jump, positioned 2nd 3Ls off lead on fence, forced to cart field up to leader on a fast pace, improved turning, hit lead briefly pushing 300 M, soon overhauled and one paced final 200 M.
7 10 INSPIRATION (CG111) M Du Plessis XB/TT Out in line, ended up racing behind midfield 7 to 8Ls away on rails, used little to bend, improved steadily along inside in straight, however unable to get closer inside 200 M.
8 11 HIGH POINT (CH215) Y T Cheng -- Showed early pace, took a midfield spot 6Ls or so away, not used in mid-section, held up between horses on turning, clear final 250 M and closed fairly without threatening.
9 7 MEDIC POWER (CG303) B Prebble TT Little early pace, raced in rear division 9Ls away in 2 wide line, helped by solid speed at top end, still well back turning, lacked usual dash and just closed evenly to be nearest on line.
10 8 DIM SUM (CH226) D Beadman CP Began well, pressed on but caught wide without cover, forced to work 5Ls away facing breeze, urged along turing, couldn't sustain effort and weakened out late.
11 9 FRIENDLY GAINS (CG300) G Mosse -- Standard jump, assumed a role behind midfield 8Ls back in 2 wide line, helped by tempo, ridden along turning, didn't run on in home stretch.
12 12 LUCKY QUALITY (CH134) W M Lai -- Fast into stride, rolled forward and took up running, set a solid pace 3Ls clear, began to come back to field turning, folded soon after straightening.
