2 4 MARVELLOUS (CH026) D Beadman V/TT Travelled midfield 2 deep with cover. Peeled out approaching the home turn to race 3 deep and swung wide on the home turn. Ran to the line honestly.
3 8 OCEAN PRINCE (CK066) C W Wong -- Positioned midfield on the fence. Struck traffic problems near the 200 M and after being checked, rebalanced and got home strongly.
4 9 THUNDER VALLEY (CG074) K L Chui V Coursed wide early and along the back straight racing without cover. Gained cover near the 600 M, then after raced 1 out 1 back. Turned in a sound effort.
5 3 RAIN CHECK (CH254) G Mosse -- Parked behind the leader. Tired towards the winning post. (Bled from both nostrils.)
6 5 BLESS US ALL (CK086) B Doyle -- Raced 2 deep with cover, midfield. Plugged away in the straight.
7 12 MAGI JOY (CH056) Y T Cheng B Began well then was on terms with the leaders after 900 M, however was wide and without cover and after the 700 M went forward to shift closer to the rail. Struggled in the latter stages.
8 7 GRAND DRAGON (CK064) B Prebble -- Was ridden along to go forward but was unable to clear a runner to its inside and raced 1 off throughout. Made the home turn awkwardly and then did not respond when placed under pressure after straightening.
9 1 DIAMOND PRINCE (CJ172) P H Lo SR1 Raced along the fence, back in the field. Kept to the inside in the straight but struggled over the concluding stages.
10 11 SIR LAGO (CH268) M L Yeung B Raced in 2nd last position with cover. Made little impression over the final 300 M.
11 2 HOT PEPPER (CJ236) D Whyte TT Travelled 3-wide with cover, in front of midfield. Raced greenly throughout and didn't find any extra in the run home.
12 6 CHINESE COURSER (CJ235) C K Tong B1/TT Began awkwardly and then was taken across behind runners to settle at the rear. Failed to pass another runner.
