4 WATCH WHAT HAPPENS (CH145) J Victoire -- Travelled a shade keen in early stages, later settled in a 3-wide position with cover, brought with a well-timed challenge inside 300 M, quickened up well to get there just in time.
7 DORDENMA (CE333) K C Leung -- Never far off from the leader, travelled strongly going into straight, progressed well down the inside rail, looked a possible winner but was caught close to the line.
1 OPERATION SECRET (CH081) W C Marwing -- Eased on jumping from the wide barrier, settled in the rear trailing 8Ls to leader, held up briefly near 200 M, switched out and closed off the race very strongly. Lost out in a 4 way photo finish.
11 ANKH MORPORK (CH306) O Doleuze TT Moderate jump, travelled in a rearward position about 6Ls off the pace, improved its position rounding the bend, responded well under pressure and came with a serious challenge inside 300 M. Narrowly beaten.
9 WEI HAI INVINCIBLE (CH258) K T Yeung CP/TT Quickly into stride, showed customary early speed to take up running, kept on strongly to 100 M, effort just flattened over the concluding stages.
10 CONGRATS (CG298) Y T Cheng TT Assumed a position in midfield 4Ls behind leader, shuffled back making the home turn and had to be shaken up, picked up gradually on straightening and did his best work towards the finish.
6 HORACE'S CHOICE (CH169) C Soumillon H/TT Held a position on the rail in mid-division, had a smooth trip to bend, attempted a run down the inside but ran into an awkward position last 100 M , not fully ridden to the finish. (See Racing Incidents.)
8 WINNING REWARD (CE254) H W Lai B Slowly away, soon taken to the rail and raced towards the rear, had plenty to make up turning in, made even progress to 100 M but had no clear run over the final stages.
3 SILVER SUN (CE126) B Prebble -- Well enough away, unable to cross early and was forced wide on the 1st turn, raced prominently behind leader, under pressure passing 500 M, soon struggled to keep up with leaders, no extra inside 200 M .
5 GRAND CRU (CG265) G Mosse V Unable to slot in after jumping and travelled 3-wide without cover in mid-division, moved up to take closer order near 600 M, stayed on ok but never posed a serious threat.
2 GREAT GUY (CH112) Z Purton TT Swiftly away, up there with the pace in a handy position, under pressure making the home turn, found nothing when asked and gradually faded in the run to the finish.
12 GOODY (CD239) M Du Plessis -- Raced towards the rear in a 3-wide position trailing 7Ls to the leader. Carried wide on turn, last going into straight and was unable to pick up. Never a factor.
