6 LONDON EXPRESS (CH107) W M Lai CP Restrained after jump and soon had the advantage of the rail, travelled sweetly in a midfield position 7Ls back, responded well when asked and produced a late surge in the final stages to sweep past his rivals.
1 SEA TREASURE (CD335) D Beadman B/TT Given a waiting ride in a rearward position 8Ls behind leader, moved closer on turning but was very wide and covered ground, finished strongly and came close to score but the winner found some extra close home.
10 SPEEDY (CJ037) B Prebble -- In mid-division early, had a smooth trip to bend, 3Ls down turning in, picked up well and looked a possible winner passing 200 M, shifted out under pressure and was overhauled in the closing stages.
2 VICTORY TREASURE (CE031) K C Leung P2/TT Taken back to a rear spot on jumping and was given an easy time in early and middle stages, shaken up passing 500 M, made steady headway in straight despite drifting out.
4 GOLDEN TREASURE (CJ087) D Whyte -- Broke well, settled in a better than midfield position 4Ls off the pace, picked up well under pressure but was momentarily checked passing 200 M. Would have been closer.
11 CHIRAC (CJ234) H W Lai PC1/H Tracked leaders in a prominent position on the rail, in a perfect spot to strike turning in, ran on steadily but couldn't trouble the first three.
5 JUGGERNAUT (CJ019) J Winks B/TT Went forward early, travelled 2-wide in a handy spot just behind leading pair, caught wide making the turn, held every chance but kept on only one-paced.
8 THE GOODIES (CH097) P H Lo B/H Missed the break and lost 5Ls at the start, raced detached in last about 12Ls away in the first half, under whip near home bend and switched very wide on turning, made some headway from the rear but was given too much to do.
3 GLOBAL WIN (CG109) M Chadwick B/TT Held the inside draw advantage and moved to the front with ease, led them along in a steady tempo, headed near 200 M and got tired passing the final 100 M.
12 WINBO (CJ085) M W Leung -- Failed to muster early speed and travelled 2nd last trailing leader 10Ls to leader, had plenty to do on straightening but ran on only fairly down the inside.
7 GREAT HERO (CH016) C K Tong B/TT- Well enough away, assumed a 2-wide position in midfield about 6Ls back, struggled to hold his position turning in and found nothing in the finish. (Jockey reported the horse made respiratory noises.)
9 INDUSTRIAL MARVEL (CG188) T H So -- Made early use and raced alongside leader in early and middle stages, gradually outpaced approaching home turn, didn't respond under pressure and rapidly dropped out of contention passing 300 M. (Performance deemed unacceptable.)
