4 INVESTAR (CH099) D Whyte B Was the early leader before handing up and taking a sit mid race. Railed up in the straight, keeping up workload to draw a neck margin.
3 BONDI LAD (CK121) D Beadman H From a wide gate had to use some petrol to cross and make the speed shifting to a position on the fence by about the 500 M. Looked the likely winner but commenced to tire and wander out over the concluding stages.
11 HAPPEE GIFT (CH313) B Prebble XB Camped midfield 2-wide with cover. Found the fence after the 500 M, travelling 3 back. Kept on well before being checked close to the post.
12 ASIAN CITRUS (CH246) O Doleuze B2/TT Parked worse than midfield, 3-wide with cover. Ran on soundly.
2 FLYING SPRINTER (CD021) B Doyle B Showed good early dash to settle behind the pace. Had cover on the circle, swung out on the home turn, whacked away at the same pace in the final stages.
1 NOBLE DE LAGO (CJ150) M Chadwick TT Lifted front feet off the ground at the start and was slow to begin settling midfield, 3-wide with cover. Came wide in the final stretch and maintained a gallop right to the wire.
8 TOUT VA BIEN (CJ020) W C Marwing P/TT Was taken back at the start and settled in last position. Closed off well despite having some difficulty obtaining clear running approaching and passing the 100 M.
9 RACING SPIRIT (CE105) H W Lai B/TT Raced behind midfield, 1 off with cover. Kept on one paced in the straight.
10 SEIZE THE DAY (CJ152) G Mosse B Travelled midfield but coursed wide and without cover. Struggled in the run home.
7 JUST RIGHT (CH300) W M Lai SR Ridden out of the gates and was prominent early before being crossed near the 700 M. Travelled 4L back by the 600 M and had to be eased at that point while hanging out. Failed to stride out from then on. (Lame left fore.)
6 WINNER (CK159) K C Leung -- Broke evenly but found its way back in the field when outside runners speared forward. Had to be checked off heels near the 600 M and was in last position on the home turn. Never a factor.
5 SHATIN TREASURE (CK124) C K Tong TT1 Raced wide in the early and middle stages before working forward to sit outside the leader after the 500 M. Kept to the inside in the straight but was gassed shortly after the furlong.
