12 BOOMING CITY (CE325) H W Lai B/TT Soon rolled to the front under a positive ride and able to dictate the race with a slow tempo, pulled 2Ls clear 300 M out and sustained his effort all the way to the line.
9 GALEN WIN (CJ065) K L Chui CP/XB1/TT- Broke well from the prime inside draw, tracked the eventual winner handily on the fence, ran on strongly in straight and pulled clear from the rest, but the winner kept finding more in the finish.
11 STREET CAT (CK037) J Lloyd TT Raced freely from 1000 M and pulled his way to the front rank, forced wide on turning, unable to bridge the gap with the first two but battled on well to take a minor placing after a long duel with the 4th over the final 300 M.
2 CRAIG'S DRAGON (CH131) J Winks B Prominent early, reigned back to sit in 5th passing 800 M but never far off from the leaders, came with a strong looking challenge 350 M out but appeared to have peaked on his run inside 150 M.
10 SOLAR ENERGY (CJ105) M L Yeung -- Taken back on jumping, not used in the early and middle stages, travelled comfortably towards the rear throughout, stayed on under pressure but never looking likely to pick them up.
3 DEFERENTIAL (CH328) B Doyle PC/TT Switched off to the back early, raced in a rearward position throughout, waited with until 400 M, made up a lot of ground early in straight, but turned flat over the final 100 M.
6 CLASSA (CK267) T H So -- Started poorly, travelled in the rear 8Ls off the pace but saved ground along the fence, had much to do on straightening and not clear until 250 M, finished off the race encouragingly. (Jockey questioned.)
5 GUNNER MAC (CJ192) W M Lai -- Jumped well, gradually eased back to a midfield position, well covered in the 2-wide running line, edged out to challenge inside 400 M, ran on OK without offering a threat.
13 GREAT HEART (CK219) M Chadwick TT1 Settled one off the fence behind midfield, had plenty to do turning in, couldn't find much when pressed, kept on one paced to the finish.
8 BEAUTY EXPRESS (CJ284) E Saint-Martin B Allowed to drift back on jumping, 6Ls back in the rear pack, raced 3-wide over the bend, made only slight progress in the straight and was never dangerous.
7 HIGH MARK (CJ197) K C Leung TT- Away well enough, raced prominently one out one back, struggled to hold his position passing 500 M, found little when asked before weakening rapidly inside 200 M.
1 FORTUNE RED PEPPER (CK199) D Whyte -- Began with them, ran a shade keen in early stages before settling down in a 3-wide spot around midfield, couldn't pick up on straightening and faded away passing 200 M.
14 ZEZAO (CK180) M Nunes SR1/XB1 Average beginning, 5Ls along the fence in mid-division, unable to quicken inside 400 M when the race got serious, never threatened.
4 GOLD WINNER (CK139) Z Purton TT1 Raced ungenerously down the back straight, 3-wide in midfield turning for home, dropped away from 300 M, never a factor.
