5 6 HANDSOME TARGET (CH269) M Chadwick -- Even jump, pressed on to take a prominent spot, camped on leaders 2Ls away throughout, held same position to bend, looked a place chance at 300 M but unable to go on with it late.
6 2 MELLIFLUOUS (CH212) D Whyte -- No early speed, drifted back to race 6Ls back on rails in midfield, used little in run, held up on turning in, made steady progress when clear to be nearest on line.
7 11 FIRST BABY (CG170) C K Tong P Restrained from a wide gate, ended up 10Ls back at rear on rails, always well back and in impossible spot turning, closed off well making many lengths to be closest at finish.
8 13 SUPERNOVA (CJ032) W M Lai SR Restrained from an awkward draw, 9Ls from to find racing on rails throughout, a bit keen in mid-section, took inside runs turning and made ground to 200 M before run ended.
9 14 DR WELL (CD165) T H So -- Began with purpose, pushed on to take up running, kept speed even throughout, headed soon after turning, steadily weakened out in straight.
10 12 FORTUNE SPIRIT (CK102) M Du Plessis -- First to hit ground, crossed easily and elected for a trail on leaders back, had a fair run thereafter, clear enough turning but found little and gradually dropped out.
11 5 INDUSTRIAL EXPRESS (CH103) Z Purton -- Restrained from an awkward alley, shared rear 10Ls back in 2-wide line, always well back and was difficult to settle throughout, set task turning, only beat tired runners home.
