2 3 CLASSIC NAVIGATOR (CD330) W M Lai TT Couldn't match the early speed of the race and settled midfield along the outside rail. Picked up nicely when placed under pressure running on nicely.
3 6 PERFECT FIT (CK323) M Chadwick B1/TT1 Worked forward easily to share the lead. Battled on gamely over the final stages.
4 8 DANABAA (CH007) C K Tong V Bounced out of the gates to make the early running before being joined by runners to its inside. Battled on soundly.
5 1 GOLDEN BAUHINIA (CK123) M L Yeung -- Began awkwardly however was able to land on the back of the speed. Shifted in to continue into clear running near the 200 M but only battled to the line.
6 2 SAPELLI (CK191) D Whyte B Landed on the back of the speed and despite being under pressure midway, gave little at the business end.
7 10 FAIR NAVIGATOR (CJ254) K C Leung B/TT Raced midfield then improved to be handy to the principals along the centre of the track. Failed to quicken when asked for an effort tiring over the latter stages.
8 11 MASSIVE STAR (CJ126) Y T Cheng B/H Was slow to begin then was ridden along out of the gates, however was steadied soon after, settling at the rear. Pushed for the better part of the journey along the outside fence and made fair ground.
9 12 PRIVATE ROAD (CK189) W C Marwing XB Raced near the back of the field. Had no excuses.
10 4 MAGIC KING (CH182) O Doleuze B/XB Began well then settled early to take up a position on the outside fence back in the field. Failed to run on.
11 9 FANTASTISCH (CK017) J Lloyd TT1 Raced with the tailenders down the middle of the course. Was a beaten horse passing the 300 M.
12 14 XAVERIAN QUEST (CJ345) H W Lai TT Began awkwardly then improved to race handy to the leaders. Gave ground before the furlong and was a spent force soon after.
13 5 HAPPY CHA CHA (CK296) J Winks -- Slow to begin, settling along the middle of the track with the rear division. Failed to quicken tiring noticeably over the final stages.
14 13 SHATIN TREASURE (CK124) S K Sit H/TT Crowded at the start settling with the backmakers near the outside rail. Struggled over the final 400 M.
