7 LUMINOUS (CE300) K C Leung B Cut out the early running then settled handily one back from leader, responded well under maximum pressure from 350 M and managed to reel in the race leader close home.
8 EASY AHEAD (CK212) T H So V Went forward to find the lead, led them uncontested from 1100 M, quickened off to a 2Ls lead passing 600 M, kept on well to the line and was just headed inside 50 M.
3 FORTUNE RED PEPPER (CK199) D Whyte CP-/B1 In midfield 5Ls back and kept to the inside throughout, strongly challenged from 350 M, finished the fastest and would have been closer in the finish if wasn't held up final 50 M.
12 BEAUTIFUL CHOICE (CH130) J Victoire -- Broke well from the inside draw and held a fence position within striking distance from the leader, plugged on final 350 M but offered little threat to the first two.
10 SAPELLI (CK191) W Pike -- Tacked leaders prominently, slightly outpaced making the turn for home, kept battling on in straight but lacked extra pace to mount a serious challenge.
9 YOUNG HERO (CH071) G Mosse CP Jumped well and soon occupied a 2-wide position ahead of midfield, had his chance but couldn't find the extra to seriously challenge.
4 SUNRISE (CK026) B Prebble CP/H Restrained to a midfield spot one off the fence and had an uneventful trip, stayed on at the same pace on straightening and never reached leaders.
6 SOLAR ENERGY (CJ105) O Doleuze -- Never better than midfield, saved ground on the inside but gave very limited response when asked for effort final 350 M. No impression.
5 WINNING REWARD (CE254) H W Lai B Given a waiting ride as usual and travelled 6 to 7Ls behind leader, kept on same pace turning in and never looked likely.
1 MELLIFLUOUS (CH212) Z Purton XB/TT Towards the rear and not hurried in early and middle stages, swung widest for home and struggled to pick up in stretch. Never a factor.
11 SUPERNOVA (CJ032) J Lloyd SR Hampered at the start and ended up racing out the back, not suited by the slackening pace in middle stages, driven inside 350 M but no progress.
2 ROCKET POWER (CH136) M Chadwick B/TT Towards the rear always, struggled to go with them passing 600 M, soon behind and finished tailed out.
