13 A WALK IN THE PARK (CK361) D Whyte TT Position from outset, slotted in to 1 out 1 back spot, had all favours in mid-section, moved into it on turning, let down well and kept going to score a shade cosily.
7 GREEN JACKET (CL010) O Doleuze -- Trapped wide from an awkward alley, used plenty 4 to 5Ls back without cover, improved to bend, came after leaders at 250 M and did well to get so close given hard run.
8 QUELLE SURPRISE (CL008) J Lloyd -- Away well, pressed on to sit outside leader, did a bit of work but relaxed on bend, 3Ls down turning, didn't give up and kept chasing right to line.
9 THUNDER DANCING (CG250) Y T Cheng PC-/B2 Plenty of early pace, lead easily, ran along at decent sections, held a 2 to 3 advantage turning, kept kicking when caught at 200 M and just lost place final 50 M.
3 SOVIET PEARL (CK187) K C Leung -- Out in line, ended up in midfield in running, enjoyed a good trip to turn, kept closing in straight to be not far from placegetters at finish.
5 TOP NEWS (CK196) K L Chui -- Slotted into a midfield role, 5 to 6Ls off top end, difficult to settle in mid-section, urged along turning, just one paced final furlong.
6 CHAMPION LAD (CH042) D Beadman XB/TT No early speed, ended up 7 to 8Ls away on rails, soft run to bend, saved ground on turning, made gradual ground to 200 M before run ended.
12 BEST POWER (CG006) G Mosse TT Faded back from a wide gate, raced 3 wide 8 to 9Ls back, had cover but left with plenty to do to bend, made only minor ground in straight.
11 GALLANT GALLOP (CL080) W M Lai B/TT Drifted down to rear from outside draw, raced in rear division 3 wide 7 to 8Ls back, had cover to bend, just produced a modest close late.
2 UNION'S STAR (CK117) B Prebble -- Slow into stride, well back on fence 8 to 9Ls away on rails, saved ground on bend, made some late ground from well back without threatening.
1 GREAT GUY (CH112) M Chadwick TT Drifted back to rear, settled with last few 8 to 9Ls away in running line, had plenty to do and held up leaving bend, little extra when clear.
10 LUCKY AMICI (CK177) J Victoire XB/TT Reasonable break, settled in good spot 3 to 4Ls away on rails, used little to bend, found nothing in straight and faded.
4 MR TOPAZ (CL097) T H So -- No speed, well back 9 to 10Ls from speed, always rearward and never picked up in straight.
14 MALAYAN BRIGHT (CK158) G Cheyne CP/TT Prominent from gates, sat close to speed on leaders back, 3Ls down to bend, gave in soon after straightening. (Abnormal breathing.)
