3 10 YOU KNOW I WIN (M361) M L Yeung -- Fair jump, settled behind midfield, 3 wide with cover, improved turning, stuck to task in straight and kept making ground to snare 3rd. Nice debut.
4 4 EIGHT PLUS NINE (CH259) M Guyon B Began with usual speed to take sit behind leader, had easy time with steady pace, right there turning, kept on well to make frame. (Lame)
5 7 ANCIENT KINGDOM (M210) T Clark B/TT1 Tardy into stride, raced 5Ls or so back on rails, saved ground taking inside runs turning, closed steadily to just miss frame.
6 5 MASTER GUNNER (CJ142) K C Leung XB Restrained form an outside alley, back with last few 6Ls or so away, tracked up turning but blocked to 200m, closed ok when clear.
7 13 ALL FRIENDS (M374) B Doyle -- Began well, settled 3Ls away on rails, keen when pace slackened, no clear run early in straight, made some even progress late.
8 11 ENTHUSING (N007) O Doleuze SR Settled 2-3 wide just off speed, 3Ls back to turn, improved on straightening, kept closing before striking trouble in final furlong.
9 8 CITY KING (M304) T Angland B Showed good speed to lead, dictated terms to suit, challenged at 400m, headed inside 300m and weakened soon after. (blood in trachea).
10 12 HORSESHOE FORTUNE (CL098) J Lloyd -- Took a midfield role 4Ls back in running line, no excuses in run, struggled final 400m and didn't finish off.
11 3 PERFECT GEAR (CL014) C Y Ho -- Took up prime position 1 out 1 back, had all favours to bend, battled away before lost run when tightened at 200m, no extra thereafter.
12 14 ALMIGHTY WINDPOWER (CL272) H W Lai B Trapped 4 wide throughout from a wide draw, no cover on circle, worked too hard to bend, dropped out in home stretch.
13 9 CLYDESIDER (M283) M Du Plessis H No early speed, raced 3 wide at rear, not really suited when tempo slowed, well back to bend, no real close in straight.
14 6 HORSE APLENTY (M376) Y T Cheng B1 Pressed forward but posted 3 wide without cover, did share of work to bend, began tiring from 300m and checked at 150m although didn't effect overall chances.
