4 5 DEEP THINKER (N159) T Angland -- Allowed time to settle from a wide draw, raced 6-7ls back two wide, pace against in mid-section, switched wider and in traffic to 300m, closed well late to make frame.
5 4 CHATER WAY (CL093) K Teetan SR Pushed on after an average break, landed a 1 out 1 back spot, had ideal trip with steady speed, right there turning, didn't have extra gear to feature but held ground evenly.

7 9 WRATH OF FIRE (CL420) N Pinna -- Drifted back from a tricky alley, raced 6ls or so back 3 wide just off midfield, enjoyed a good trail in despite tempo against, work to line well final 300m.
8 12 TURBO JEWELLERY (N379) M L Yeung TT Crowded early, settled 6ls or so away on rails just off midfield, pace against in mid-section, saved ground on bend, stayed on same speed in straight passing a few.
9 11 WHY NOT (N053) T H So TT Taken back from a wide alley, raced towards rear 3 and 4 wide 7-8ls back, came 4 wide on circle, came on fairly given workload making some minor ground without threatening.
