2 2 FORTUNE WARRIOR (H229) K Teetan PC- Hard ridden from outside gate to lead when racing wide before crossing to rail approaching the first bend. Continued in the lead until being caught by winner inside last 50m & was brave late, finishing clear of third.
3 9 LEAN MASTER (H134) H Bentley B/TT Pushed forward to challenge for lead before being crossed approaching the first bend & racing second away from the rail. Shared lead on straightening, tried hard but couldn't match the first two, hold third on line.
4 8 GREAT ACHIEVER (J049) Z Purton B1 Raced in midfield away from the rail. Over-raced during the early & middle stages, drifted slightly further back around 500m bend, shifted wider on straightening, finished steadily down the outside late.
5 12 PHILOS (H371) Y L Chung H/TT Challenged for lead early before being crossed approaching the first bend & racing on the leaders back thereafter. Had clear running on straightening when just behind lead, gave a length in the straight to finish in midfield.
6 11 GORGEOUS VITALITY (G051) L Hewitson B1 Raced just worse than midfield when three wide with cover. Improved to midfield around the bend, was just over 4L from the lead entering last section, made up a few lengths late to finish in midfield without threatening.
7 1 MA COMET (H391) B Avdulla P/TT Raced three wide with cover in midfield early, improved after the 650m mark, raced in fourth position around the bend. Was only 1.5L from the lead entering last section, gave a length or so in last furlong.
8 6 FAIRY HORSE (J144) A Atzeni H-/TT Began fairly, was last after the start. Was racing second last between runners before being steadied to avoid horses near 550m. Was third last and 6L from the lead entering last section, made some late headway well back.
9 10 CIRCUIT SEVEN (D474) M F Poon B/H/TT Hampered after start, got back to race third last when three wide without cover. Continued wide around bend, was the widest runner on straightening when about 5L from lead, finished off ok but was never in the race.
10 4 GRAND NOVA (J323) H Bowman E1 Jumped fairly & got back to last along rail. Was checked away from heels near the 600m & lost ground. Was 7.5L from lead entering last section, came wider on straightening, unable to be ridden out last 125m when held up.
11 7 STRIVE FOR GLORY (D186) L Ferraris P/TT Raced just worse than midfield between runners. Shifted down to rail just after first bend, was just under 5L from lead entering last section, failed to finish off, hampered in final stages but was already beaten.
12 3 CHARITY FOR ALL (H417) K C Leung TT1 Began fairly, raced worse than midfield along rail. Shifted out on first bend & checked away from heels of rival runner & lost ground. Was 6.5L from lead entering last section, stayed along rail in straight but did nothing.
