Racing Incident Report

Before being presented to the Parade Ring, WINNING BOY had its off side hind plate refitted. After arriving at the barriers, Apprentice S K Sit (PREMIER TREASURE) reported to the Veterinary Surgeon that the horse did not feel right in its action. The Veterinary Surgeon had the horse trotted up, in his opinion it was not stretching out properly in front and was not suitable to race. On this advice, PREMIER TREASURE was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, it will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. TRADER JOE jumped very awkwardly, bumped the inside of its gate, because of this R Fradd was badly unbalanced. On jumping, RED DEVIL and EARL GREY came together and just after this RED DEVIL shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of HUANG PU JIANG. After the 800 Metres, GREENMORE shifted out from behind HUANG PU JIANG. As a consequence of this, inconvenience was caused to CHUTZPAH and that horse was obliged to race wider. When GREENMORE shifted out, TRADER JOE, which was following, was steadied and shifted in. As a consequence of this some inconvenience was caused to ALL WIN. No action was taken. In the early part of the Straight, TRADER JOE shifted in from behind SILENT PARTNER, got its head on the side and hung in, then approaching the 200 Metres was awkward on the heels of EARL GREY which was giving ground. For a short distance at about the 200 Metres, GREENMORE was awkward between SILENT PARTNER and CHUTZPAH. ZIETENGO BOY was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
