Racing Incident Report
After arriving at the Start, it was noted ABLE MARSHALL had a small amount of blood in its mouth. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and after the necessary consultations was passed suitable to race. MY FORTUNE, which was standing with its head turned to the right hand side, began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped ABLE MARSHALL. When the gates opened, PREMIER SPEED stood flat-footed and lost considerable amount of ground. Before PREMIER SPEED can race again, it will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. FLAMENCO STAR and HOROSCOPE were slow to begin. Shortly after the start, SOUTH CHINA NINETY and KING CONFIDENT were steadied when crowded for room between SEREVI which shifted out and OPERA MAGIC which shifted in. At the 900 Metres, OPERA MAGIC shifted out away from the heels of MENDOZA. This caused some inconvenience to PERFETTO which was carried wider. BRUIN SUPREME and ARROGANCE hung out making the Home Turn. At the 400 Metres, ABLE MARSHALL was steadied to avoid the heels of MENDOZA and shifted out to obtain clear running. MY FORTUNE, ONE MORE ROUND and OPERA MAGIC were sent for sampling.
