Racing Incident Report

In the Straight, GUNG HO hung in and on straightening shifted ground and bumped SIR ERNESTO. Near the 300 Metres, RICH DRAGON, which was commencing to close the race off strongly, was steadied and shifted to the inside of INDUSTRIAL SUCCESS to continue going forward. For some distance approaching and passing the 100 Metres, PACKING ANGEL had difficulty obtaining clear running. M Nunes (GUNG HO) said the intention had been to ride the horse in 4th or 5th position with cover if possible, however, after beginning well GUNG HO travelled immediately into the bridle, proved difficult to settle and consequently travelled further forward than intended outside the leader. WINNING DRAGON and GUNG HO were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of WINNING DRAGON and GUNG HO after the race did not show any significant findings. SUPREME CLASS and GALLANT LION were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported GOOD PROFIT had lost its left front plate.
