Racing Incident Report

CHATER DE LAGO, which proved difficult to load, will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test before being allowed to race again. BULB TREASURE began awkwardly and shortly after the start threw its head in the air and shifted in, resulting in CRISTAL MAGNUM being hampered. Near the 1100 Metres, KING FAY FAY was checked away from the heels of BULB TREASURE. Over the concluding stages, SUPREME GOLD was directed away from the heels of SKY WALKER which shifted out under pressure. Throughout the race, RECORD HIGH travelled wide and without cover. When questioned, W M Lai (BULB TREASURE) said that passing the winning post on the first occasion, he believed the tempo of the race was quick and for this reason he elected not to follow DASHING CHAMPION but rather to allow SUPREME GOLD to shift in. He said when he did this, BULB TREASURE proved difficult to settle for a short distance and was steadied away from the heels of SUPREME GOLD. W M Lai was advised to ensure that he makes every endeavour to maintain his position wherever possible. SKY WALKER and BOBO WIN were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that RECORD HIGH had lost its right front plate.
