Racing Incident Report

DIAMOND ELEGANCE was slow to begin.
SIMPLE was crowded for room at the start between GOLD EDITION and HAWTHORNE which shifted in abruptly. In this incident, SIMPLE bumped GOLD EDITION which became unbalanced.
Shortly after the start, KA WAI FORTUNE was steadied away from the heels of ALL VICTORY which shifted in.
From the outside barrier, NINTH GALAXY was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Near the 600 Metres, KA WAI FORTUNE, which was reluctant to maintain its position, was checked and lost ground when racing tight inside ALL VICTORY which shifted in slightly.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, GLORY HORSIE was momentarily crowded for room inside HAWTHORNE which shifted in when allowing AMEDEO to cross.
Near the 500 Metres, KA WAI FORTUNE shifted in of its own accord, made contact with the running rail and became badly unbalanced.
Passing the 200 Metres, GOLD EDITION shifted in and bumped HAWTHORNE, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced.
Near the 100 Metres, DIAMOND ELEGANCE was steadied away from the heels of CHARITY SPIRIT (R Fourie) which shifted in when not properly clear. R Fourie was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he makes every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground in future.
Also near the 100 Metres, ALL VICTORY was shifted to the outside of GLORY HORSIE when unable to obtain clear running to the inside of that horse.
A veterinary inspection of AMEDEO and DIAMOND ELEGANCE after the race did not show any significant findings.
GLORY HORSIE, FREDERICK ENGELS and SIMPLE were sent for sampling.
