Racing Incident Report

From the outside barriers, BERNARD’S CHOICE and GRATIFIED were taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
A short distance after the start, TELECOM TOP STAR was crowded for room inside SAMMY’S FALCON which shifted in after being bumped by DYNAMIC CROSS. A short distance later, SAMMY’S FALCON was steadied when crowded for room between DRAGON CHOICE which shifted out marginally and DYNAMIC CROSS (N Callan) which shifted in when being ridden along. N Callan was reprimanded.
Near the 1050 Metres, FLYING KEEPER was awkwardly placed outside the heels of DYNAMIC CROSS.
Approaching the 1000 Metres, BERNARD’S CHOICE got its head up on a number of occasions when proving difficult to settle.
Making the turn at the 1000 Metres, DRAGON CHOICE, which was being steadied to obtain cover, momentarily raced tight inside FANTASY AND GOLD (A Suborics) which shifted in when not quite clear. A Suborics was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.
Passing the 800 Metres, TELECOM TOP STAR momentarily raced tight inside TELECOM CHIEF which, when proving difficult to settle, shifted ground when racing tight inside FRIENDS OF YAN OI.
Passing the 450 Metres, SAMMY’S FALCON raced in restricted room inside GRATIFIED which got its head on the side and lay in.
Approaching the 200 Metres, B Prebble (FLYING KEEPER) momentarily dropped his whip before regaining it.
Approaching the 150 Metres, DYNAMIC CROSS was steadied when disappointed for running between FIERY RAIDER which shifted out marginally when giving ground and FRIENDS OF YAN OI (T Angland) which shifted in. T Angland was advised to exercise more care.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that FANTASY AND GOLD had bled from both nostrils.
A veterinary inspection of DYNAMIC CROSS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
TELECOM TOP STAR and NOVEL START were sent for sampling.
