Racing Incident Report

On entering the track, SUPER CLASS dislodged its rider, K Teetan, without incident. K Teetan remounted and proceeded to the Start.
SHINY TWO was slow to begin.
BUDDY SPIRIT and GREEN LASER jumped only fairly.
SUPER JOY jumped awkwardly and then was crowded between HANDSOME REBEL and JAZZ STEED which shifted out.
SUPER CLASS shifted out at the start and bumped GOLDEN MISSION.
GOLDEN MISSION and SUPER JOY raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
B Avdulla (GOLDEN MISSION), who weighed in at 121 lbs, was fined the sum of $3,000 for returning to scale 2 lbs overweight.
After the race, M Chadwick (LUCKY RUBY) reported that his intention was to be closer, but despite being ridden along in the early stages, LUCKY RUBY failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. He added that under pressure in the Home Straight LUCKY RUBY responded only fairly to his riding and, in his opinion, raced in a disappointing manner. A veterinary inspection of LUCKY RUBY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of TURBO POWER immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, TURBO POWER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of SURE WINNER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
LUCKY RUBY, ACA POWER and HANDSOME REBEL were sent for sampling.
<20/6/2023 Additional Veterinary Reports> The Veterinary Surgeon reported that HANDSOME REBEL was lame in its left front leg after racing. Before being allowed to race again, HANDSOME REBEL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
