3 9 SWAN BAY (H062) Was held up for clear running making the Home Turn. For a short distance after the 200 Metres was again held up when improving into a narrow run between CALIFORNIA VOCE and YOUNG BRILLIANT.
4 1 CALIFORNIA VOCE (H258) Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the left side of its barrier.
5 12 MASTER OF FORTUNE (G474) Was sent for sampling post-race.
6 7 MAJESTIC VICTORY (E441) No report.
7 10 YOUNG BRILLIANT (H135) No report.

9 4 SECRET VISION (G302) Shifted in and was bumped shortly after the start. Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. <16/10/2023 Additional Veterinary Reports>SECRET VISION, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. SECRET VISION was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C S Shum this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, SECRET VISION will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
10 5 S J TOURBILLON (G138) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
11 3 POWERFUL WINGS (G225) Raced tight for some distance shortly after the start. Passing the 1000 Metres was bumped when taken in by MASTER OF FORTUNE.
12 2 PACKING HURRICANE (H137) Raced tight for some distance shortly after the start. Over the concluding stages raced tight to the inside of POWERFUL WINGS. Apprentice E C W Wong was reminded of his obligations not to use the whip on a horse which is out of contention.
13 8 SUPER FOOTBALL (D465) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
14 13 HARRY'S HERO (H332) Over-raced in the early stages when endeavouring to obtain cover behind SECRET VISION. When unable to obtain cover, was allowed to stride forward near the 1300 Metres. After the race, L Hewitson reported that his mount hung out making the Home Turn and proved difficult to ride out before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance and racing manners of HARRY’S HERO were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, HARRY’S HERO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial around a bend in Hong Kong and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
