2 9 HAPPILY FRIENDS (C533) Was sent for sampling post-race.
3 3 MODEST GENTLEMAN (G352) Jumped only fairly and was then crowded shortly after the start. Was sent for sampling post-race.
4 10 VALHALLA (E495) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
5 4 BRILLIANT PIONEER (G255) Was held up for clear running making the Home Turn. Approaching the 50 Metres was directed to the outside of MODEST GENTLEMAN to continue into clear running.
6 1 STARRY NIGHT (G253) Jumped awkwardly.
7 11 CIRCUIT SPLENDOR (E482) After the race, C L Chau reported that his mount raced too keenly in the middle stages and for some distance near the 700 Metres was steadied away from MIRACLES after being crossed by that runner and as a result was not able to finish the race off strongly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood and mucus in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, CIRCUIT SPLENDOR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
8 12 JUST GREAT TWO (G174) Jumped awkwardly and then was bumped shortly after. For a short distance approaching the 300 Metres raced tight to the inside of FINGERS CROSSED which shifted in slightly.
9 5 MIRACLES (G083) After the race, Z Purton stated that his mount was able to obtain a position outside the lead in the early stages but did not respond to his riding in the Home Straight and may not have appreciated tonight’s "Good to Yielding” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of MIRACLES was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, MIRACLES will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
10 2 FINGERS CROSSED (G403) Jumped only fairly. Near the 850 Metres was bumped by JUST GREAT TWO. Bumped with DRAGON KINGDOM at the 300 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 7 DRAGON KINGDOM (E211) Was bumped shortly after the start. Near the 300 Metres was bumped by FINGERS CROSSED. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. The performance of DRAGON KINGDOM, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, DRAGON KINGDOM will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood and mucus in the horse’s trachea.
PU 8 OUR CLASS ACT (E303) Passing the 1000 Metres went amiss when it sustained an injury to the left front fetlock and was retired from the event. L Ferraris was subsequently examined by the Chief Medical Officer and passed fit to fulfil his remaining race riding engagements. Samples were also taken from the horse.
