3 6 CAN'T GO WONG (H087) Shortly after the start was badly crowded for room between PRINCE ALEX which was taken out by SMART ZIPANG and APOLAR FIGHTER which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider. Making the Home Turn was checked when badly held up for clear running behind SMART ZIPANG and did not obtain clear running until near the 350 Metres.
4 2 HIGHLAND RAHY (J298) No report.
5 10 SUPER BABY (G364) Jumped only fairly.
6 3 APOLAR FIGHTER (J169) Shifted in on jumping and became unbalanced when bumped.
7 11 PRINCE ALEX (G307) Crowded shortly after the start.
8 9 COURIER MAGIC (H290) Jumped only fairly. For some distance near the 1500 Metres commenced to race keenly when being shifted behind APOLAR FIGHTER to obtain cover. Approaching the 300 Metres improved into a tight run between WAH MAY WAI WAI and SOLAR GOGO which was giving ground and as a result made contact with WAH MAY WAI WAI on a number of occasions. After the event, A Atzeni stated that the intention was to be a little closer in the run but from an awkward barrier he was obliged to race back in the field. He said COURIER MAGIC raced keenly through the early and middle stages and after racing tight near the 300 Metres finished the race off well. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 1 WAH MAY WAI WAI (J193) In the early stages got its head up and raced ungenerously when being attempted to be shifted behind runners. Near the 300 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters on a number of occasions and became unbalanced.
10 12 SMART ZIPANG (J165) Shortly after the start became badly unbalanced when bumped on the hindquarters.
11 7 SOLAR GOGO (H390) Jumped awkwardly. From the 600 Metres was shifted to the outside of THE DOUBLE EAGLE to improve into the event and raced very wide and without cover thereafter. In the Home Straight lay in when giving ground.
12 5 THE DOUBLE EAGLE (J342) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
