Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
1 GOLDEN RISE (H242) Sent for sampling post-race.
2 PRIME MORTAR (G328) The Stewards deferred the declaration of weighed-in as they were of the view that an incident which occurred over the final 100 Metres placed some doubt as to whether GOLDEN RISE should be declared the winner. Subsequently Trainer A S Cruz and Jockey J Orman, rider and trainer of PRIME MORTAR, viewed the official patrol films to ascertain if there were sufficient grounds for a protest/objection. When connections declined to lodge a protest/objection and the Steward were satisfied that there were not sufficient grounds to do so due to the minor contact between GOLDEN RISE and PRIME MORTAR and having regard to the manner in which both horses finished the race off, weighed-in was declared on the numbers semaphored by the Judge. In the middle stages raced keenly. Over the final 100 Metres was taken in by GOLDEN RISE and near the 50 Metres brushed with that runner. Sent for sampling post-race.
10 YOUNG HORIZON (G272) In the early stages got its head up when being shifted across behind runners and continued to race keenly in the early and middle stages.
11 SILVER SPURS (J043) Shortly after the start was bumped by MACANESE MASTER. After the event, A Badel stated that from an inside barrier his instructions were to hold an on-pace position. Trainer C Fownes confirmed the instructions issued.
3 MEGA BONUS (E184) No report.
8 LUCKY BLESSING (K073) Approaching the 50 Metres was eased when crowded between SILVER SPURS and PRIME MORTAR which, after shifting in and away from GOLDEN RISE, was then taken in slightly by that runner. Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when racing tight to the inside of YOUNG HORIZON which shifted in. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
6 COLOURFUL WINNER (J312) Jumped awkwardly. Shortly after the start was crowded between STAR FIGURE and SILVER SPURS which shifted out after making contact with MACANESE MASTER. Approaching the 1000 Metres improved to the inside of MACANESE MASTER (B Thompson) which then a short distance later shifted in when not clear, resulting in COLOURFUL WINNER being steadied. B Thompson was severely reprimanded.
12 SMILING EMPEROR (J371) Had its right hind plate refitted in the holding stables. Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Shortly after the start was bumped by STAR FIGURE. After the event, L Hewitson explained that his mount had difficulty obtaining clear running over the final 200 Metres.
5 TAIHANG SCENERY (J314) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Making the turn near the 1000 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from STAR FIGURE. Again approaching the 900 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from STAR FIGURE and raced keenly for some distance thereafter.
4 STAR FIGURE (K215) Shortly after the start was bumped and became unbalanced. Over the final 100 Metres could not be ridden out when COLOURFUL WINNER (M L Yeung) shifted in. M L Yeung was advised to exercise more care. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
7 SPICY SPANGLE (J087) Jumped only fairly.
9 MACANESE MASTER (J532) Bumped at the start.
