Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
1 WONDER KIT (G455) Sent for sampling post-race.
8 SUPER JOY N FUN (J164) Shortly after the start was crowded between GOLDEN RISE and GALLANT VALOUR and became unbalanced. Sent for sampling post-race.
11 GOLDEN RISE (H242) Shifted out shortly after the start and made contact with SUPER JOY N FUN. Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running between HAYDAY and SUPER JOY N FUN. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 SUGAR SUGAR (G016) Trainer C Fownes confirmed that from the outside barrier Apprentice E C W Wong was given the option of going forward if SUGAR SUGAR jumped well.
7 STORM RIDER (J027) Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and bumped with CALIFORNIA DEEPLY. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
5 NORDIC DRAGON (G467) Bumped on jumping. Approaching the 250 Metres was disappointed for clear running between REGAL GEM and GALLANT VALOUR, both of which shifted ground. In this incident, NORDIC DRAGON made contact with GALLANT VALOUR and became unbalanced.
6 REGAL GEM (K258) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
12 HAYDAY (H321) Shifted in shortly after the start despite the efforts of its rider and made contact with GALLANT VALOUR. Raced keenly in the early stages.
3 HEALTHY HEALTHY (H203) Shifted out at the start and made contact with NORDIC DRAGON. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
4 GALLANT VALOUR (H323) Shortly after the start was crowded between HAYDAY which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider and SUPER JOY N FUN which shifted out and away from GOLDEN RISE. Near the 250 Metres was bumped by NORDIC DRAGON and became unbalanced. After the event, B Avdulla could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 PRAWNS ELEVEN (J140) Near the 900 Metres improved to the inside of GALLANT VALOUR and shortly afterwards was steadied when momentarily crowded by GALLANT VALOUR which shifted in. PRAWNS ELEVEN then raced keenly for some distance thereafter. After the event, H Bentley stated that his mount was unable to cross runners to its inside in the early stages and as a result settled further back than what he had anticipated. He added that in the Home Straight PRAWNS ELEVEN did not respond to his riding. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, PRAWNS ELEVEN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
10 CALIFORNIA DEEPLY (G451) Crowded at the start between STORM RIDER and SUGAR SUGAR, both of which shifted ground slightly.
