Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
1 12 TELECOM POWER (J332) Approaching the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid KING ALLOY (A Hamelin) which shifted in when not quite clear. A Hamelin was severely reprimanded. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 11 ALWAYS MY FOLKS (J345) Sent for sampling post-race.
3 7 BITS SUPERSTAR (J362) After the event Apprentice E C W Wong reported that his instructions were to hold an on-pace position but not necessarily lead. He said when caught wide in the early stages he elected to allow his mount to stride forward and lead to avoid racing wide.
4 8 EXCELLENT PEERS (G033) Bumped on jumping.
5 5 SHOTGUN (K111) Jumped only fairly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
6 10 SUPER CHARIZZARD (J184) Approaching the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid TELECOM POWER when racing keenly. Approaching the 300 Metres was bumped and taken wider by MULTIDUTCH which shifted out. After the event A Atzeni reported that he was instructed to hold an on-pace position. He said despite riding his mount along in the early stages it did not show its usual early pace and as a result settled further back in the field than anticipated.
7 3 LOVEISINTHEAIR (J550) Leaving the 900 Metres ACE POWER shifted out and away from SUPER CHARIZZARD, resulting in LOVEISINTHEAIR, which was racing keenly, having to be checked. After the event H Bowman stated that following his mount receiving interference leaving the 900 Metres it finished the race off only fairly when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
8 6 ACE POWER (J181) Bumped on jumping. Leaving the 900 Metres shifted out and away from SUPER CHARIZZARD and was steadied. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 1 MULTIDUTCH (K171) Shifted out approaching the 300 Metres and was bumped.
10 4 KING ALLOY (K099) Jumped only fairly.
11 9 BRAVE JOY (J307) No report.
TNP 2 AURIO (K056) Prior to declaring weighed-in the Stewards gave consideration as to whether AURIO had been denied a fair start. After taking evidence from Starter Mr A Speechley, rider Z Purton and Trainer D A Hayes, the Stewards found that AURIO reared simultaneously with the start being effected, resulting in it failing to jump with the field and its rider Z Purton being dislodged. As the Steward were satisfied that such occurrence occurred simultaneously to the start being effected, AURIO was declared a runner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained abrasions to its left hock and left hind fetlock. Before being allowed to race again, AURIO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
