Racing Incident Report

1 8 BIENVENUE (J490) When questioned Z Purton stated that he had expected the lack of early pace in the event and for this reason he elected to ride his mount forward. Trainer D A Hayes confirmed that he had given Z Purton the option of taking up a more forward position. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 4 TOP PEAK (H441) In the middle stages raced keenly. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 3 KNOW AT HEART (K108) Jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped with RICH HORSE.
4 1 CALIFORNIA DEEPLY (G451) Made contact with the left side of its starting gate on jumping.
5 5 INCREDIBLE MOMENT (K275) Approaching the 50 Metres shifted out when racing greenly and as a result was steadied to avoid BIENVENUE when that runner shifted in slightly. The Stewards attributed the racing manners of INCREDIBLE MOMENT to be the principal reason for the horse being steadied.
6 6 WISEMAN (K211) No report.
7 12 SHINKANSEN (H277) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
8 11 YODA'S CHOICE (J146) Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
9 9 COUNTRY DANCER (H436) Jumped only fairly. Near the 50 Metres was steadied momentarily when INCREDIBLE MOMENT shifted out when racing greenly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 7 HARMONY N HOME (C531) Raced wide and without cover from the 800 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 2 LEGENDARY IMPACT (K035) Making the first turn approaching the 1000 Metres was steadied when crowded between KNOW AT HEART which lay out slightly and HARMONY N HOME (Y L Chung) which shifted in before being corrected. Y L Chung was advised to exercise more care. Noted to have lost its left hind plate after the race.
12 10 RICH HORSE (J191) Shortly after the start was checked when crowded between KNOW AT HEART and YODA’S CHOICE which shifted out.
