Approaching the 600M was shifted to a position one-off to follow a runner and near the 500M improved to the inside of that runner. A short distance later the horse struck the heels of that runner. After the event rider stated that his mount settled further back in the field after being crowded at the start. He said after his mount lost ground when blundered near the 600M his mount did not finish the race off thereafter. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 095.
