When questioned regarding rider’s riding tactics in the early part of the Home Straight, particularly between the 400M and the 300M rider explained that at that time he was weighing up his options as to what run to take when held up behind the eventual winner. He added that the eventual winner commenced to shift out near the 300M which allowed him to then improve to the inside of that runner and put his mount under his normal vigorous riding - Race 069.

Rider reported that after receiving interference at the start he was obliged to settle further back than anticipated. He added as a result rider found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 108.
