Trainer confirmed the instructions and advised he issued those instructions as the horse has not been finishing its races off when ridden in a forward position and had barrier trialed well on 14 October 2025 when ridden in a conservative manner in the early stages - Race 160.

When questioned rider stated that his mount raced keenly in the early stages and was steadied to avoid a runner near the 1000M. He said near the 900M his mount became unbalanced when crowded. Rider added that after that incident his mount did not respond to his riding in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 123.
