Trainer stated that the horse had pleased him coming into the race but could offer no explanation for its performance. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Performance as a last start winner was considered to be disappointing. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 109.

He said when his mount commenced reasonably well and was caught wide in the early stages he elected to continue forward to avoid covering additional ground - Race 165.

He added as a result when his mount jumped only fairly he was obliged to make use of it in the early stages to comply with the instructions, but when unable to obtain a position closer to the rail his mount raced wide and without cover before giving ground in the Home Straight. Trainer confirmed the instructions issued. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Finished tailed out and performance was considered unacceptable. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 622.
