|
NO OTHER CHOICE (K049) when questioned regarding his riding rider stated that his mount was shifted across behind runners in the early stages from the outside barrier. He said throughout the event his mount appeared to resent the kickback, particularly as it was having its first race start on the All Weather surface. He said as a result making the Home Turn and in the Home Straight he shifted his mount to the outside to endeavour to improve into the event at which point the horse lay out. He said after shifting to the outside of a runner near the 200M he then changed his whip from his left to his right hand to encourage the horse to respond but as he did so he had some difficulty in pulling the whip through. He added that once he was able to fully ride his mount along over the final 150M his mount found the line strongly - Race 135. |
