Prior to declaring weighed-in the Stewards gave consideration if there were grounds for a protest/objection against the eventual winner being declared the winner due to the horse and the eventual winner making contact approaching the winning post. Having regard to the manner in which the eventual winner finished the race off and that the contact was due to both runners shifting ground although the eventual winner had shifted further, they were satisfied that there were not sufficient grounds to lodge a protest/objection and accordingly declared weighed-in on the numbers semaphored by the Judge - Race 248.

On jumping became unbalanced when crowded. Rider reported that as a consequence his mount settled further back in the field than intended - Race 256.
