12 OLYMPIC EXPRESS (CB094) W C Marwing -- Always 2 or 3-wide in midfield between 3 and 5Ls off speed until 600 M out, 2.5Ls off leader turning in, quickened up to go 2Ls clear 200 M out, ran on strongly, impressive.
13 PRECISION (CA209) M Kinane SR Raced on inside about 4 to 5Ls off pace until final bend when travelling well, switched off fence to challenge at top of straight, kept on well but no chance with winner.
5 DASHING WINNER (CA018) W Woods SR Keen through early stages 6 to 7Ls off pace, turned for home in 3rd last place 2-wide and 5Ls off pace, kept finding all the way to line.
10 LUCKSWELL (CA171) M Cahill -- On fence about 3Ls off speed through to home straight, came off rails to find running home at top of straight and only clear 200 M out, ran on well.
7 GOGGLES (CB140) F Coetzee H Dropped out in rear about 8Ls off pace early on, 3-wide and 6Ls off pace rounding final bend, stayed on well in straight but never looked like grabbing front two.
1 AUCASH (BV269) O Doleuze -- Took good pull and 4-wide round 1st bend, 3-wide and 6Ls off pace 1400 M out tracking the winner, 4Ls behind leader 400 M out, all out at 200 M marker when 3Ls down and no extra final stages.
14 SUPER MOLLY (CA043) B Marcus -- Never far away early on though took keen hold about 2Ls off pace out 2-wide until home straight when not really quicken up, struggling 200 M out before weakening further.
3 DANAMITE (CB003) S Dye -- Soon in 2nd at pacesetting GOLCONDA's quarters though always over-racing a bit, still favourably placed turning in and definite place prospects 200 M out, weakened.
8 GOLCONDA (CA111) L Dettori -- Quickly to front though never led by more than 1L, passed by winner 250 M out and just about clinging on to a place chance 200 M out before weakening away quickly.
4 DANEFACTOR (CA006) G Mosse -- Had the run of the race until straight on the fence in 3rd place 1 to 2Ls off pace, under pressure turning for home and soon dropped out of contention.
11 MAGICAL WARRIOR (CB109) E Legrix -- Bounded in air on exiting, raced 3-wide without cover 3Ls off pace down back straight, still 3-wide but 1.5Ls off pace and every chance turning in, quickly swamped and no chance.
6 DIAMOND MOON (CB019) Hammer-Hansen V1/TT Always in or near rear, never closer than 5 or 6Ls off pace and beaten a long way out.
9 JEUNE KING PRAWN (BV270) E Saint-Martin -- Raced too freely early on out wide and at least 5Ls off pace through to home straight when settled and travelling well though 4-wide, asked to pick up 350 M out, found nothing.
2 CAPE OF GOOD HOPE (CB243) D Whyte SR Raced 2 and 3-wide 3Ls off pace until home straight, soon under pressure and dropped right away rapidly.
