1 11 GOLDEN SPIRIT (CA215) S Dye -- Soon eased to the tail and shifted inwards. Around 6 to 7Ls off leader entering back straight, gradually shifted out and made steady progress from 400 M. Around 5Ls down 300 M out, all out 250 M and rattled home to win convincingly.
2 7 MY JOY (CA143) R Fradd -- Began fairly and niggled along to take up running on fence with no more than 1L advantage through to straight. Responded well to pressure in straight but unable to fend off challenge from winner and just held on for 2nd place.
3 2 NEW FACE (CA387) K H Ting SR Broke well and soon raced 1 to 2Ls off leader on rail. Remained there until straightening. When asked 250 M out made up steady ground and missed the 2nd placegetter by a short margin.
4 3 DOLBRIDGE (BS295) W C Marwing B Untidy start and niggled along to maintain position around 4 to 5Ls off pace on inner. Switched out and made a mone 450 M out, around 3Ls down 300 M out and made up ground from 200 M to be closest at finish.
5 6 UNBREAKABLE (CA389) E Legrix TT Soon settled at rear section and shifted in closer to rail. Switched out and put under pressure from 450 M out. Made up some ground over the final 150 M to be closest at finish.
6 1 ORLANDO FLYER (CA350) G Mosse SR Soon raced 4 to 5Ls off pace 3-wide through to straight. Unable to quicken in straight and stayed on evenly to the line.
7 4 SUPER CENTURY (BV029) F Coetzee TT Best out from wide draw. Niggled along to sit outside leader and steadily shifted inwards. When asked 300 M out stayed one-paced and further weakened over the concluding stages.
8 8 OWNERS' JOY (CB319) Y T Cheng -- Jumped fairly and raced in mid-division towards the outside. Made some progress from 600 M to be 1-1/2Ls off leader turning for home. Did not quicken in straight and stayed one-paced to the line.
9 12 ZINEDINE (BT242) M W Leung B Settled in rear section on inner through to straight. Unable to quicken in straight and only ran past several beaten runners after the 200 M mark.
10 9 SAMMY TREASURE (CA324) D Dunn B Slow to begin, crowded after the start. Soon recovered to race 3 to 4Ls off leader on rail through to straight. Plugged on evenly in straight and further weakened over the final stages.
11 5 LASER PRIDE (BS277) G Schofield -- Began well and settled in mid-division around 2-wide. Near the 500 M was checked and shifted out. Made no impression in straight.
12 10 THE GREATEST (BN260) A Marcus B Soon raced in prominent position 2-wide. Commenced to lose ground at 600 M and became detached in straight. (Heart Irregularity.)
