3 13 GOOD WIN (CB235) D Dunn -- Soon led on fence, briefly headed by HOLY QUEST 1200 M out and pressured up front until the 800 M, travelled well 2Ls clear entering straight, caught 50 M out and lost 2nd final strides.
4 14 INDY'S GEM (BS077) M W Leung P 2-wide 10Ls off pace in 10th at the 1200 M, 8Ls down at the 800 M and still towards rear but 6Ls off pace entering straight, moderate late headway to be nearest at the finish.

6 2 KONRAD THE GREAT (CB059) K C Tsang SR- Didn't break well, 2-wide and in rear at least 10Ls off pace at 1200 M, 5-wide (widest of all) when 7Ls off pace into home straight, one-paced thereafter.
7 7 SUGAR AND SPICE (CA176) A Delpech B Broke well, had nice run on fence 2Ls off pace in 4th 1200 M, 4Ls 4th at 100 M and 3Ls 3rd at the 800 M, clear 2nd 2Ls down but driven along on straightening, faded steadily.
8 4 SMART CHIEF (CC042) G Schofield B 2-wide 6Ls off pace in 8th at 1200 M and for most of back straight, 3-wide 600 M and into home straight when 6Ls down and under pressure in midfield, no impression.
9 5 CZAR OF PRUSSIA (CB378) D Whyte -- Always caught 3-wide without cover, in 5th place 4Ls off pace at 1200 M, still 4Ls down when driven along turning in, nothing more through final 200 M.
