11 HIGHLILLI (CD092) F Coetzee TT1 Away well and either disputed lead or raced prominently with 2Ls off pace in 2nd through to home straight, picked up well to lead 200 M out, comfortably, smart debut.
2 PAOBRIDGE (CB073) P H Lo B Best away and pressed on from wide gate, led out 2-wide at 700 M and led by 2Ls on fence 500 M out, headed by winner at the 200 M, just hung for runners-up berth.
5 WYNDAM EASY (CB273) G Mosse -- 2-wide and 3Ls off pace in midfield early on, 3-wide into straight when 4Ls down in 5th, tended to hang in under pressure, made some good late ground.
9 GRANDWAY SHUTTLE (CB424) D Dunn B Had cover when 3-wide and 3Ls off pace in 8th place 700 M out, 4-wide (widest of all) into home straight when about 4Ls down in midfield, ran on quite well closing stages.
8 SUPREME MOLLY (CC049) R Fradd -- Always 2-wide and within 3Ls of pace through to home straight when 4th, 1L down in 3rd at 200 M, no chance with winner and lost a place final strides.
12 OUR JET (CD128) K C Tsang -- Awkwardly away, showed good speed while racing 3-wide without cover to be 2Ls 3rd at 600 M, 2Ls 3rd into home straight and just 1L down at 200 M, no extra final stages, good debut.
6 FOUR ACES (CC141) G Schofield TT1 Always in midfield about 3Ls or 4Ls off pace on fence or at most 2-wide through to home striaght, failed to pick up and never threatened leaders.
3 KIMBERLEY MINES (CA367) C Williams -- Always about 4Ls or 5Ls off pace and slightly worse than midfield, always looked held.
4 PROGRESSING TIMES (CC231) C K Tong B- Never better than 5Ls or 6Ls off the speed towards rear, never troubled leaders.
1 FREEBIRD (CC319) T Mundry SR No speed early, 2-wide and 8Ls off pace sharing rear 800 M out, 8Ls down and clearly last entering straight, no impression.
10 BACCHUS (CB009) W Smith BO/P 1L off pace in 3rd at 800 M, 3Ls down from 600 M to 350 M when very tight and awkwardly placed and held on fence, couldn't regain any momentum.
