3 2 GREEN TREASURE (CD225) D Whyte -- Travelled 3-wide at midfield. Made up ground in a wide position rounding home turn and was carried out further before straightening. Hit the front at 400 M but failed to hold off top pair inside final 200 M.
4 5 SUPER COMBED (CB392) B Prebble B/TT Sluggish start and settled in a rearward position. Saved ground along the rails rounding home turn. Held up for some distance after straightening and closed the race off well after getting a clear run.

8 3 LUCKSWELL (CA171) C Soumillon -- Raced just off the pace early stages. Niggled up to be alongside the leader after 1200 M. Moved into a disputed lead on straightening but unable quicken thereafter.
9 11 NORTHERN GOLD BALL (BV008) S Dye -- Jumped awkwardly. Gradually eased back to race in rear section. Wide making home turn and unable to quicken in the straight.
10 8 MOSCOW BALLET (CE142) G Mosse B1 Niggled along into the lead and kept in front until straightening. Weakened thereafter.
11 4 MINE HOST (CC064) O Doleuze -- Jumped awkwardly and was ridden along to make up ground early stages. Settled at midfield middle stages but commenced to lose touch rounding home turn. Made no impression in the straight.
12 10 STABLE MAIL (CE184) C Williams B1 Raced in a forward position early stages. Kept within 3Ls of the leader home turn but weakened in the straight.
