4 GREAT ACHIEVEMENT (CD250) O Doleuze TT Best position on fence 2Ls off pace in 3rd from 1200 M to home turn, pushed out to lead by a neck at 200 M, always held this margin to line.
8 COSMO SUCCESS (CC250) D Whyte -- 5Ls behind in 6th when 2-wide at 1200 M, pressed on 3-wide no cover from 500 M to be 3-wide and 2Ls down in 4th at home turn, good speed to be a head 2nd at 200 M, couldn't pass winner.
12 AMBITIOUS TYCOON (CB157) W M Lai -- On fence in 5th about 4Ls off the pace at 1200 M, not 3Ls back in same position at home turn, held up for a run until inside final 200 M, switched inside final 100 M to finish well for 3rd.
1 NILOMETER (CD052) F Coetzee CP/TT Niggled along when 6Ls down in 8th and 2-wide at 1200 M, 3-wide and 5Ls off speed in 8th at final turn, ran on well but was always held by principals.
7 MIGHTY HUGO (CB413) C Munce -- In rear about 10Ls off speed at 1100 M, left 3-wide no cover at 700 M and pressed on at 600 M to be 4-wide (widest of all) into homestretch when 5Ls down in 9th, stayed on well, nearest at finish.
6 COME SEE YOU (CA368) E Saint-Martin B/TT Settled 7Ls behind on fence in 9th at 1200 M, similarly placed tackling home turn, switched inside at 200 M and finished off fairly well, nearest at finish.
9 FIGHTING MASCOT (CB426) G Schofield -- 5Ls down in 7th on fence from 1100 M to home turn, stayed on fairly well but never likely to figure in the frame.
11 CRYSTAL (CE209) S Dye -- Well placed 3Ls back in 4th when 2-wide at 1100 M, under pressure to hold this spot at 500 M, didn't lose much ground on the run-in but did not quicken up either.
2 MONEY STRONG (CC369) Y T Cheng SR Didn't show his usual pace to lead easily, pushed on to lead by 1L over 1100 M out, speed solid, still 1L into home stretch, headed at 200 M and soon swamped.
10 PILLOW KING (CE291) P H Lo -- Slowly away, niggled along in 10th when 8Ls behind at 1200 M still struggling in behind at final bend, minor late ground but never really got involved.
3 NOBLE SILENCE (CD238) A Delpech TT Always in rear two, 10Ls last on fence at 1000 M, 8Ls last at home turn, nearest at finish but only passed one en route.
5 FAMOUS DANCER (CD353) B Prebble B Awkward break, pressed on without cover early until being 2-wide and 1L off speed in 2nd at 1100 M, all out to maintain this position entering homestretch, swamped at 200 M and faded.
