4 5 BEAR DOMINANCE (CD235) C Soumillon B Broke with them, pushed on to obtain closer position, raced midfield 2 wide 5 to 6Ls away, tracked eventual winner into race, lacked dash to keep up but kept on strongly to make frame.
5 10 DASH AHEAD (CD199) H W Lai SR Began well, drifted back to just worse than midfield 5 to 6Ls away on rails, made run between horses in straight, made up good late ground without threatening winner.
6 9 WINNING SUNSHINE (CB291) W M Lai -- Showed good early speed to take up prominent spot 1 out 1 back 2 to 3Ls away from leader, pushed along entering straight, kept on strongly when clear but lacked turn of foot to make impression. Not fully ridden out last bit.
7 7 MILLION SUCCESS (CE158) R Fradd V Only average to begin, drifted back to settle 3rd from rear 12Ls from speed, made 3 wide run from 600 M, set impossible task on turn but chased strongly to make up considerable ground.
8 1 MATIRI KING (CE266) C Munce H1 No early speed, taken across heels to rails to race 10Ls from lead, had easy time throughout, stuck to paint turning for home and made up good late ground over final 200 M to be closest at finish.
9 6 MILLENNIUM SPIRIT (BV221) E Saint-Martin P-/TT Broke well, restrained to find cover, settled well back 9 to 10Ls away 2 wide, travelled comfortably throughout, pushed along entering straight, could only manage one speed in run home.
10 14 CONNOISSEUR'S LOVE (CD234) C K Tong H Crowded early, pushed along to contest for early lead, took up spot at leaders girth, had good run with slow speed in middle stages, challenged entering straight and hit lead but beaten shortly after and battled to line.
11 4 AQUA-TREASURE (CE185) S Sanders CP Began with them, settled 2nd last on rails 11 to 12Ls away from lead, enjoyed good run throughout, gave big start turning for home and lacked dash to make up ground in stretch.
12 11 SOCRATES (CD336) O Doleuze V Bounced with them, pushed along to take up lead into first turn, lobbed along in front at slow speed, niggled along on turn, lacked dash in straight and only battled to line.
13 8 CHEERFUL HEART (CC206) A Delpech B Broke with field, restrained from wide gate to take up spot at rear 12 to 13Ls away, began to circle field at 500 M, raced very one-paced in straight and was well beaten.
14 12 NASA PEARL (CC068) C Brown P Jumped with them, drifted back to worse than midfield, held 2 wide position 10Ls from speed, under pressure approaching turn, dropped out as if amiss. (Irregular heart beat.)
