12 FIRST AMONG EQUALS (CC327) E Saint-Martin B Jumped well, allowed to settle just behind pace on fence. Enjoyed good run on rails with leaders clearing out, eased 2 wide but still 10 off them on turn, showed good dash to chase them down and get up right on line.
5 GOLD STRIKER (CD365) D Whyte -- Amongst the first to begin, outside leaders early, left to cart the field up with speed duel in front, followed rails 8Ls from lead entering straight, hit lead at 250 M and fought strongly only to be collared on line.
9 ABLE ONE (CG108) C Soumillon -- Began only fairly, niggled along to take up spot behind early leaders on fence, pushed along to chase on turn, stuck to paint in straight and kept to task well just lacking extra in final 200 M.
6 NOBLE SILENCE (CD238) B Prebble -- Evenly away, settled just worse than midfield, raced on rails throughout 15Ls from tearaway leaders, eased 3 wide on turn and made up good ground in middle of track to be closest at finish.
14 SING FAY FAY (CE074) C K Tong B/TT1 Began with field, drifted back to worse than midfield. 15Ls off lead, overraced when attempted to restrain, made 4 wide run on turn and stuck to task well in straight, doing best work late.
13 BEST POWER (CG006) S Dye -- Fair to begin, lacked early speed to settle near rear on rails, used little in run and still long way off on turn, followed rails in straight and kept coming late, even effort giving too great a start.
8 SIR ERNESTO (CG051) G Schofield B1 Fast into stride, overraced when attempting to restrain early, engaged in speed duel in mid section drawing 10Ls clear, still held lead to 300 M, collared at 200 M and couldn't go on last bit (rider questioned).
10 LUCKY CHAMPION (CD178) D Dunn -- Broke only fairly, trapped a little wide early and drifted back to near rear, tracked 3 wide with cover throughout, still long way off them turning for home, made up some ground but was one paced last 200 M.
7 SANBENITO (CC256) O Doleuze CP/TT Slow to begin, drifted back to rear 2 wide 20Ls from leaders, lobbed along at tail throughout, long way off them turning for home, made run between runners in straight but only battled to line.
1 GOODY (CD239) G Mosse -- Began with them, restrained to tail from widest alley, raced in 2 wide spot 20Ls away, made 3 wide run from 600 M, came back to inside making a little ground in stretch passing tired runners.
4 FLORAL PEGASUS (CG011) F Coetzee TT Fast into stride, showed good speed to challenge for lead, overraced when unable to cross and engaged in speed duel 10Ls clear, under pressure on turn, compounded due to early workload and dropped out. (Rider questioned.)
3 FANTASY (CB187) Y T Cheng B- Began with field, drifted back from widest gate when unable to get closer, raced 3 to 4 wide in rear section for most of journey, still giving large start turning for home, very one paced in straight.
