10 BEETHOVEN (CC133) B Prebble -- Began well, pressed forward to settle behind leader 1L away, relaxed well and travelled kindly with slow speed in mid section, on bit to turn, received dream rails run in straight and dashed away for easy victory.
1 GREEN TREASURE (CD225) W C Marwing -- Away with rest, allowed to settle just behind speed 3 back on fence 3Ls away, spent nothing in middle stages, 2Ls away on turn, followed winner in straight but lacked turn of foot to match. Stuck on well for 2nd.
11 DR WELL (CD165) W M Lai -- Bounced out, showed good early speed to cross easily and take up running, dictated terms in front at a slow speed, held 1L advantage on turn, tackled at 300 M, couldn't match winner but kept on fairly for 3rd.
9 FLAMING LAMBORGINI (CE146) S Dye TT Steadied when tightened early, drifted back to 2nd last 5 to 6Ls from leaders, raced on rails not suited by slow speed in middle stages, made 3 wide run on turn, gave huge start and finished hard late. Good effort.
8 LUCKSWELL (CA171) O Doleuze B Fast into stride, rolled forward as usual to take up spot at leaders girth, enjoyed easy time with slow pace in mid section, moved up to be 1L away into straight, lacked a dash in stretch but kept on same pace to line.
6 LIGHTNING STAR (CD405) E Saint-Martin B Broke with them, taken hold to settle behind pace, raced 1 out 1 back 2Ls away with run of race, travelled well to turn, showed no sprint when asked in straight and could only hold ground to finish.
5 CHEEKY (CA266) D Dunn -- Average to begin, lacked early speed, settle worse than midfield on rails 5Ls away, used no petrol throughout, followed paint in straight, lacked usual finish and only plodded to line.
7 SUPER COMBED (CB392) F Coetzee B/TT Began awkwardly, couldn't go early, raced in last spot 7Ls from pace, lobbed along at tail throughout, not suited by slow speed, still had field to beat on turn, passed some tired runners late.
3 WEALTHY (CD164) Y T Cheng SR/B1 Average to begin, unable to slot in and trapped 3 wide without cover throughout, always working and moved up to be 3Ls away on turn, wide run took toll and compounded in straight.
2 RIVER DANCER (CC109) D Whyte -- Began only fairly, showed no early speed, settled in midfield position 2 wide 4Ls from pace made run between runners in straight but lacked turn of foot to be a factor.
4 SATURN (CD154) G Mosse TT Broke with them, different tactics applied and ridden with cover, overraced in mid section, 3 wide and 5Ls away to turn, made 4 wide run in straight, compounded to be well beaten.
