1 DOWN TOWN (CG054) C W Wong -- Fastest into stride, pressed on to cross to front after 200 M, settled tempo nicely and dictated terms to turn, 1L clear into straight, kicked strongly passing 250 M and proved too hard for rivals to catch. Nice win.
9 BEING FAMOUS (CD018) Y T Cheng B Standard break, hard ridden to hold spot on rails 4Ls away, had easy time in mid-section, still back in traffic on turning, eventually worked into clear passing 200 M and closed race off well to grab 2nd.
13 WIN AGAIN (CD371) D Nikolic B Average to begin, mustered speed to take up position 3 back on fence 3Ls down, amongst horses and awkwardly placed at 600 M, drove up behind them on turning, stuck to task evenly in straight without threatening to snare 3rd.
3 ORIENTAL MAGIC (CE133) O Doleuze B2/TT Jumped fairly but showed great dash to be first to rail, accepted trail and had nice run behind leader thereafter, still on leaders heels on turn, gained inside run and kept on nicely to make frame.
14 POCKET MONEY (CE253) D Whyte B Not the best to begin, ridden up to hold prominent spot 1 out 1 back, proved difficult to settle in mid-section, travelled well 2Ls away on turn, angled out and looked a threat to 200 M but lacked fitness to figure.
2 GOOD PROFIT (CD389) G Mosse -- Showed usual lack of speed to be rearward easily, drove through to midfield 5Ls away, tracked nicely 2 wide behind horses on turn, made steady ground between horses in straight doing best work late.
4 GALLANT LION (CG243) E Saint-Martin -- Began well, unable to slot in to running line, forced to race 3 wide without cover 2Ls away, always working in mid-section, same distance down on turn, couldn't sustain effort last 300 M and was one paced to line.
11 PACKING ANGEL (CB223) H W Lai B Broke with rest, faded back from widest alley, assumed spot at tail, raced 2 wide 7 to 8Ls off leaders, had field to beat on turning, eased 6 wide into straight, closed race off evenly from impossible spot.
7 CLEAN SWEEP (CD323) B Prebble B Jumped well, unable to muster early, settled off speed in midfield role, raced 2 wide 4Ls from pace, tracked nicely on turn and eased into dream run in straight, tried hard but condition give out last bit.
8 TRIUMPHANT UNICORN (CD166) S Dye -- Average to leave gates, soon gathered speed, used up a little from alley to cross outside leader, raced at leaders girth thereafter, niggled along 1L down on turn, couldn't keep going when sprint went on and weakened out.
10 FANTUZZI (CG187) M Nunes -- Began awkwardly and lost ground, gathered speed to position at rear 7Ls away on rails, difficult to settle and raced awkwardly in mid-section, swung wide on turn, in traffic for most of straight, closed evenly late.
5 RICE FIELD (CE134) N Ryan TT Not special to begin, drifted back to find cover, forced to race 3 wide in midfield 5Ls away, had cover and tracked nicely in mid-section, came 5 wide into straight, lacked fitness to be a factor and battled to line.
12 RICH DRAGON (CG079) C K Tong -- Began with them, faded back when unable to go early speed, raced 3 wide at tail 6 to 7Ls and well back and came wide into straight, lacked a finishing sprint and same clip to line.
6 WINNING DRAGON (CB018) R Fradd -- Amongst first few early, unable to slot in to running line, posted 3 wide without cover for journey, always working 3Ls away, under pressure on turning in, tough run took toll and weakened right out.
