4 GLOBAL WIN (CG109) K L Chui B Away well, quickly showed pace to be prominent, eventually work across to lead by 1000 M, controlled tempo from that point, held 1L advantage with others off bit and chasing on turn. Stuck to task well to score nicely at finish.
10 KING HESPERUS (CE151) M Nunes B/TT A little tardy to begin, rushed up to lead into first bend, held lead until crossed at midpoint, had easy run behind leader thereafter, niggled along on turn, kept to task well but found winner too good.
8 TOP HONOR (CE183) G Mosse -- Began with them, pressed on to settle behind speed 4Ls away on rails, not asked in mid-section, began to improve on turn, angled into clear at 350 M, closed race off nicely to make good ground late.
3 AQUA-TREASURE (CE185) D Whyte PC Jumped with them, soon mustered speed to make challenge on first turn, finished up outside leader by midpoint, travelled well 1L away at 400 M, urged to step up a gear but run ended at 200 M.
7 SMART HORSE (BV096) E Saint-Martin -- Broke with rest, unable to show enough speed to hold spot, raced in rearward position 7 to 8Ls from lead on rails, well back in traffic approaching turn, came to outside and made good late ground from impossible spot. Best of rest.
2 WADADELIGHT (CC340) W M Lai B Fastest to jump, didn't have speed to cross them early (crowded), raced in 1 out 1 back spot 3 to 4Ls away in mid-section, ridden along to take close order on turn, didn't go up a gear and kept on at some pace in straight.
5 EVERGREEN (CE106) C W Wong TT Slowly into stride and lost further ground when crowded, raced well back at rear 10 to 12Ls off pace, stuck to rails and steadily made ground on turn, still last into straight and passed tired runners late.
1 GALLANT KNIGHT (CC189) K T Yeung V Even break, hard ridden to hold prominent spot behind early leader, raced 3Ls back on rails in mid-section, had run of race but still urged along on turn, switched out but offered nothing in straight weakening out late.
9 KAISER'S PRIZE (CD350) S Dye -- Began fairly, showed no early toe and allowed to drift back to tail, raced 2 wide 10Ls away throughout, swung wide with field still to beat on turn, didn't show usual dash and failed to go up a notch in straight.
6 CITY SURFER (CG129) O Doleuze P Standard to begin, held midfield position 2 wide 4 to 5Ls away throughout, hanging from 700 M, switched out on entering straight, lacked another gear in last 400 M and only battled to line.
12 LIVERBIRD (CE055) Y T Cheng B Away with rest, niggled along from outset, held midfield position on rails 6 to 7Ls from pace, never really comfortable in going, commenced to weaken from 500 M, well beaten in straight.
11 LEGIONNAIRE (CD263) C K Tong TT Began nicely, ridden up but checked badly on first turn, lost spot and settled down worse than midfield 7 to 8Ls away, always pressured to stick to task, angled out on turn but made no impression, weakened noticably late.
