2 1 LUCKY CHAMPION (CD178) D Whyte -- Fairly away, taken straight to rails to be 3 back on fence, enjoyed nice run in mid-section, spent nothing to turn, angled wide following winner into straight, tried hard and got close on line.
3 9 TOP HONOR (CE183) G Mosse -- Jumped well, showed good speed to go forward to slot in behind leaders, tracked leaders carting field up to them, had nice run to turn, badly held up into straight to 200 M, dashed hard when clear late, unlucky.
4 12 FORTUNE WARRIOR (CD096) M W Leung B Away with line, faded back to near last from outside alley, raced some 15Ls from leaders 2 wide early, began 3 wide run on circle, came 6 wide on turn, challenged strongly and stuck on gamely to make frame.
5 2 EASY GAME (CC346) K L Chui P Standard to leave gates, assumed usual position towards rear on rails 15Ls away, steadily made ground on circle, in traffic on turn, weaved between horses in straight closing off nicely to be closest at finish.
6 14 MAGIC TEMPLE (CC368) P H Lo PC2/TT Slow to begin and crowded shortly after, raced at tail well off leaders, still 12Ls off leaders at midpoint, last on turn, finished race off strongly between horses, not fully ridden out. (See Racing Incidents.)
7 4 WADADELIGHT (CC340) A Delpech B Began well, trapped wide early, slotted in to midfield role, raced 2 wide 6Ls down at midpoint, amongst horses on bend, angled out 4 wide and challenged for lead on straightening, ran out of gas late.
8 11 KING HESPERUS (CE151) M Nunes B/TT Broke nicely, hard ridden early, engaged in speed battle into first turn, used plenty but unable to cross, raced at leaders' girth thereafter, under pressure on turning, couldn't find extra after hard run.
9 7 CITY SURFER (CG129) O Doleuze P-/B1 Only fair to begin, raced worse than midfield 10Ls away early, 2 wide 8Ls off them at midpoint, tracked evenly on bend, in traffic until 200 M but was one paced when run presented and struggled to line.
10 6 TOP SCORER (CE110) E Saint-Martin -- Began awkwardly and lost ground, positioned in midfield on rails, had even run thereafter, not asked to turn 4 to 5Ls down, in traffic but never really going well enough, only battled away last 200 M when in clear.
10 13 WONG'S SUCCESS (CE107) M Odendaal TT Broke well, didn't have speed to match them and drifted back to near rear, 12Ls down early, pushed up 3 wide and came 5 wide turning, kept giving to 200 M but didn't offer a sprint to match them thereafter.
12 8 EVERGREEN (CE106) W M Lai TT Jumped fairly, assumed position on rails worse than midfield, 10Ls away at one point, stuck to rails on bend, under pressure to make ground behind runners in straight, showed no dash and was one paced to line.
13 10 FRIENDSHIP (CE066) Y T Cheng -- Steady jump, hard ridden to hold lead into first turn, engaged in speed battle early drawing well clear of others, tried to back off in lead, tackled again and under pressure turning, workload took toll and dropped out.
14 3 ROYAL FALCON (CE091) C W Wong B/TT Began with them, pressed on 3 wide but unable to slot in, raced 3 wide with cover throughout, 4 to 5Ls off them on circle, 5 wide but struggling on turn, lost touch in straight after hard run.
