7 JOY AND FUN (CH014) O Doleuze -- First to leave gates, taken hold of to take trail 3Ls off leaders on rails, angled 2 wide on bend, travelling well and eased out into straight, took some time but wound up strongly last 100 M to win readily.
2 ISLAND SPEED (CG202) A Delpech B1 Average break, soon re-gathered to drive through and take over running, had mind on job this week and kept them rolling 1L clear to turn, kicked strongly passing 250 M, stuck on well but no match for winner late.
8 LASER TIGER (CG251) B Prebble -- Began with rest, allowed to settle in midfield role, raced 2 wide 3 to 4Ls away, on bridle in traffic on turning, bumped into clear at 250 M, closed steadily but was very green over concluding stages.
11 FEEL-SO-GOOD (CG056) D Whyte -- Standard to begin, mustered speed to roll up outside leader, raced 1 to 2Ls away in mid-section (did some work), close enough on turn and travelling fairly, challenged at 300 M but didn't let down, same pace to line.
14 TRIUMPHANT GLORY (CB368) S K Sit B Began nicely, showed enough dash to be prominent early, raced behind leader, had run of race thereafter, travelled strongly on bend, under pressure in straight, lacked turn of foot to improve on rails and only held ground to line.
3 FLYING KENNY (CC244) S Dye V Well enough to break, outpaced and drifted back to be behind midfield, crowded at 1000 M, raced 2 wide 5 to 6Ls from them, followed rail on bend, kept to inside in straight but only had one speed in run home making moderate headway.
12 CELESTIAL WONDER (CG046) M Nunes -- Jumped with rest, lacked early toe and faded back to rear division, steadied on first turn, raced 2 wide 3Ls away in mid-section, hard ridden on bend, closed steadily in straight without ever looking like a place chance.
5 FLAMING SUN (CG164) F Coetzee -- Average break, rushed along to take closer order, always working 3 wide 3Ls away without cover, not far away on turn, began to struggle entering straight, workload and inexperience took toll and didn't find late.
10 GLOBAL LEADER (CG048) G Mosse B1 Slow to begin, settled towards tail from awkward alley, made ground to be 2 wide 5 to 6Ls away in mid-section, ridden along on turn, made some ground in middle of track but couldn't go on last 200 M.
13 DEVON FLAIR (CD240) H W Lai V Ok to jump, urged along to go forward from a wide alley, forced to race 3 and 4 wide throughout, always working 2Ls away on bend, close enough on turning into straight, weakened right out after hard run.
4 FISHKING EXCELLENT (CG232) D Nikolic B1 Average to leave gates, reluctant to hold spot early, raced ungenerously on rail 10Ls off leaders, angled wider on bend, under pressure early in straight, inexperience showed and made no impact in straight.
1 BOLD CHAMPION (CG127) K T Yeung B1 Began with line, faded back to last from awkward draw, raced 2 wide 10Ls away at rear, had job to do on bend, came wide into straight but showed nothing in run to line. (Blood in trachea.)
6 FRONTIER (CH023) C W Wong -- Standard jump, pushed along to hold midfield spot, 5Ls back on first bend, couldn't hold position at midpoint and began to weaken, gave significant ground on bend and was well beaten in straight.
